World-class soprano Dr. Laura LeVoir is a highly sought-after artist recognized for her tour-de-force presence on the operatic stage and her sophisticated, elite artistry. A powerhouse of the vocal world, Dr. LeVoir has established herself as an illustrious performer of concert works and an adept interpreter of art song, combining a commanding stage presence with a refined linguistic facility that marks her as a true expert in language and style.

Currently based in London, Dr. LeVoir is a member of the prestigious Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where her residency is generously supported by the C & P Young Scholarship and the Gita de la Fuente Prize. Since her arrival in the UK, she has captivated audiences with a definitive performance of Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 and commanding portrayals in opera excerpts as Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Leïla (Les Pêcheurs de Perles), and Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte). Her upcoming season includes highly anticipated turns as Christine Daaé in Guildhall’s workshop of The Phantom of the Opera, Littler Daughter in Missy Mazzoli’s Proving Up, and featured excerpts as Nedda (Pagliacci), Juliette (Roméo et Juliette), and Noémie (Cendrillon).

Dr. LeVoir’s transatlantic career is built upon a foundation of academic and competitive excellence. She earned her Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), specializing in voice performance, pedagogy, and Polish song. Her scholarly and performative depth in the Slavic repertoire earned her the first prize in the Kosciuszko Foundation’s Marcella Sembrich International Vocal Competition and the Pulaski Scholarship from the American Council for Polish Culture.

On the concert stage, Dr. LeVoir is a celebrated soloist, having performed the North American premiere and subsequent English-translation recording of Sixten’s Johannespassionen. Her previous engagements include residencies with the Twin Cities Catholic Chorale and frequent collaborations with the Cincinnati Song Initiative and Collegium Cincinnati. Her early training was marked by a prestigious debut at Alice Tully Hall during her undergraduate studies at The Juilliard School, followed by a Master of Music from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, where she excelled in roles ranging from Mozart’s Contessa to Stravinsky’s Ann Trulove.

Beyond her vocal prowess, Dr. LeVoir is a powerful arts leader with a proven track record of institutional impact. She has served as the Associate Artistic Director for the Cincinnati Song Initiative and currently sits on the board of Slavic Voices. Her executive acumen was further demonstrated during her tenure as the Campaign Coordinator for the Guthrie Theater’s landmark $80 million Illuminate Campaign.

Dr. LeVoir balances her international performing schedule with a commitment to vocal excellence, maintaining a highly successful private voice studio where she mentors the next generation of elite performers.
